ROYAL RECEPTION: AMB. ENWONGO-ABASI FRANCIS RECEIVED BY HIS KINGSMEN 

...Gifted an award of Excellence in Leadership by Ikono Traditional Rulers Council.

...Pomise to establish Libraries across the four clans in Ikono.


In the early hours of today, it was a celebration of remarkable attainment as Ikono son was being received by his people at the Local Government Secretariat, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo.


Amb. ENWONGO-ABASI FRANCIS who was recently named as one of the World's top 30 Under 30 Global Literacy Leaders and Honoree of the International Literacy Association for his works in West Africa, has contributed immensely to promote the development of literacy in Africa. 



Highpoint of the reception was a presentation of Award of Excellence in Leadership by the TRC Chairman headed by the Paramount Ruler of Ikono, HRM. Edidem NYONG UDO OBOP- u, ably represented by the Clan Head of Ndiya.


In attendance were the Clan Head of Itak, Ndiya, and Ediene, including Village chiefs and a host of other Royal Fathers. 


While responding in appreciation, Amb. Enwongo-Abasi Francis  thanked all the Royal fathers for organising such a surprise package in spite of the short notice, promised to establish libraries In Clans across the Local Government Area, to encourage and promote Sustainable literacy development and education at the rural areas. 


Specially, Ikono Council Boss Hon. Nyakno Uwemedimo Okoibu in his magnanimous and overwhelming joy also expressed his happiness for such attainment and height attained by one of his sons. He promised to give him the necessary support and encouragement that will help promote literacy in Ikono and to boost librarianship In the Local Government Area.
